Our featured speaker will be Julie Noh-Smith. Julie is a committed advocate for a National Health Program that ensures universal access to healthcare and prioritizes people over corporate profits. Her advocacy is informed by her professional experience working on international healthcare policy within the pharmaceutical industry. Julie serves on the board of Healthcare Justice NC and on the Steering Committee of National Single Payer.  She is a leading member of the North Carolina Coalition for Medicare for All.

Julie will present on one of the most pressing issues facing individuals today: healthcare affordability. In her presentation, “This is Not Normal,” she will examine how the U.S. healthcare system evolved into its current form and discuss pathways toward a system that ensures healthcare for all. A Q&A session will follow.
